Kindergarten Music, September 2025

Kindergarten students have been doing an amazing job in their first few music classes! Our main focus so far has been learning one another’s names and learning about the expectations for music class. Students have been singing a variety of songs, including familiar songs like Open, Shut Them, and new songs like Peep Squirrel. We are learning how to safely use instruments such as egg shakers and hand drums, and we have learned about posture and how to sit and stand when we sing. We are also practicing our quiet listening, extending the amount of time we silently listen each week. Our musician of the month for September is local Celtic band Scottish Fish.
